Simulation Exercise at Air University
November 26 All day
The Faculty of Aerospace and Strategic Studies (FASS) at Air University and The Alliance for Just Deliberation on Solar Geoengineering are hosting a simulation exercise on solar geoengineering, which will place students at the center of a multilateral negotiation process, modeled after the United Nations Environmental Assembly (UNEA).
This six-hour simulation will be held at the Air University campus. Rather than a simple exercise, this will be a real-world simulation that will equip participants with the tools to influence the global discussions on climate change. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Step into the shoes of diplomats from around the world, representing different nations and interest groups.
- Negotiate high-stakes decisions that will shape future international climate policies.
- Develop skills in multilateral diplomacy, strategic communications, and policy analysis – skills crucial for your career in international relations.
- Be part of the first-ever pilot program focused on a real-world draft resolution on SG expected to be discussed at UNEA in 2025.
- Gain invaluable insights into climate security and the intricate international politics surrounding SG issues.
